Corrections
Point of Order corrects its mistakes visibly.
When we get something wrong, we add a correction note at the top of the piece, dated, saying what was wrong and what it should have said. We do not quietly edit the text and we do not delete the original claim. If the error changed the analysis, we say which conclusion it affected.
If you think we have got something wrong, tell us and include the claim and your source. We will check it against the primary document and reply either way.
Why we do this
Correcting visibly costs nothing and is the fastest way to build trust in a media environment where almost nobody does it. A publication whose whole pitch is checkable working cannot be precious about being checked.
